4 - 8 March at InterContinental Hotel, Dubai Festival City
Emirates Airline Festival of Literature is held under the patronage of
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum,
The Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
Dar Al Adaab is the home of the Festival's Office and year-round venue in the historic heart of Dubai, minutes away from the souks, museums and the Dubai Creek.
By Car/Taxi
Dar Al Adaab is in the Al Fahidi Historic Area in Bur Dubai - nearby landmarks include the Ruler's Court and the British Embassy. There is limited car parking, but if this is full there is also paid public parking available by the Creek, directly opposite the British Embassy on Al Seef Road - about 5 minutes walk away.
By Metro
The nearest Dubai Metro station is Al Fahidi, on the Green Line. Take Exit 3 and walk down Al Mussalah Street towards the Creek for approximately 5 minutes until you reach the Al Fahidi roundabout. Cross the road and enter the Historic Area near the Local House Restaurant to find Dar Al Adaab.
By Bus
The C7 stops at nearby Al Fahidi roundabout. A number of other routes also stop near Al Fahidi Metro.
Many other buses stop at Al Ghubaiba bus station: from there, with the Creek on your left, walk toward the Souk, Dubai Museum and Ruler's Court. This takes about 15 minutes and is not recommended in hot weather.
The RTA's route planner can help you find a suitable bus route.
