Bring the fun of a literary festival to your school with our Education Programme! With events curated for students of all ages, there’s something for everyone! As part of its long-term mission to develop the literary scene within the UAE, the Emirates Literature Foundation holds a range of annual competitions that offer prospective writers and students a chance to grow their skills and potentially get published.

EDUCATION SESSIONS & WORKSHOPS

Author school visits are an integral part of the LitFest’s educational outreach programme as the thrill of meeting an author helps encourage a love of reading among students, and often inspires them to pursue their own interests in the creative arts. Schools can register interest in having an author visit by fulfilling out an online application form and taking part in the free bidding process. All that is required for a successful bid is a convincing justification for why an author should visit your school!

Schools from across the UAE are invited to showcase their students’ creative talents in music, drama, dance, and performance at the ever-popular Fringe Stage, which will return for the 2023 LitFest. The number of performance slots is limited and the Emirates Literature Foundation team will select successful performers based on the written description given in the online application.
